"Hello, I'm Jeff Danglo aka Jeff Danger, Science Ranger. I've been performing my popular science show in New England for seven years and I sincerely believe students really do leave my show with a greater understanding of science. Using this experience, my 90 minute workshop provides K-6th teachers with the knowledge to create memorable learning experiences in physics and chemistry.

Properties of spinning objects and gyroscopes, and their role in navigational instruments.	Lasers produce an intense beam of light of one wavelength or color, which can be refracted or 'bent' by a prism.	Motion of objects is affected by friction.
An object produces sound when it vibrates in matter - a solid, such as earth; a liquid, such as water; or a gas. We hear sound waves traveling through air.		Gravity is the natural force that pulls objects toward the earth. Magnetism is another natural force.

Solar collectors are different from PV Cells, they transfer the actual heat of the sun to, for example, a hot water heater.

A molecule is the smallest unit of a substance that shows all the properties of that substance.

Some chemical reactions are fast, some are slow.	Atoms are one of the smallest particles of matter.	Molecules are made of atoms, and polymers are made of strings of molecules.
An element contains one kind of atoms. A compound contains two or more.	A gas in a sealed jar exerts pressure equally on all the sides of the jar.
The nucleus of an atom consists of protons which carry a positive charge. These protons attract the negatively charged electrons.	Each molecule of water is made up of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.	Some substances can bond with water, some cannot .
